Your Local Plumber & HVAC Company in Cloverdale
Cloverdale is the northernmost city in Sonoma County, sitting where the Russian River valley narrows before the road climbs into Mendocino. It is a small town with a compact older core and newer building around it, and it is comfortably the hottest place we work — far enough inland and far enough north that the coastal air that moderates Santa Rosa never reaches it.
That heat shapes what Cloverdale calls us about. Air conditioning here is not a comfort question, it is the difference between a liveable house and an unliveable one in July, and a system that fails does so on the day it is needed most. We are about thirty miles south in Santa Rosa, which is the longest regular run we make, so we would rather look at a system in spring than be called out to it in a heatwave.

Cooling is the headline. Cloverdale systems work harder for longer than anywhere else in our area, and equipment that would last comfortably in Petaluma is worked hard here every summer. Condensers that cannot keep up on the worst afternoons, refrigerant leaks that have gone unnoticed because the system still runs, and units that were sized for a milder expectation than the summers actually deliver. Where a house has no ductwork, mini-splits do the job without a retrofit the building cannot take.
The older housing around the town centre brings the plumbing side. Galvanized supply narrowed by decades of scale, cast iron waste lines, and sewer laterals old enough that roots have found the joints. The heat compounds the water heater problem: hard water plus heavy summer demand is unkind to a tank, and one that has never been flushed will show it.
Distance is worth being honest about. Cloverdale is our longest regular run, and while we cover it for emergencies around the clock, you will always get a better outcome from a planned visit than an urgent one. If a system struggled last summer, or a water heater is at an age where you are already thinking about it, spring is the time to have us look rather than the first genuinely hot week.
